The market for IT hardware has changed considerably during 2026. It affects prices, lead times and which models can be sourced at all.

Why is this year different?

The large global investments in AI, data centres and server capacity are putting significant pressure on the production of RAM, SSD storage, processors and other core components. Manufacturers increasingly prioritise capacity for the server and AI market, and that affects both the price and the availability of ordinary IT equipment.

On selected products we also buy stock of our own, so we are not solely dependent on manufacturer lead times when the need arises. If the model you want is unavailable, we look into alternatives with equivalent or better specifications rather than simply waiting for one particular model.
